+ SPORTS MASSAGE

Not only an excellent therapy for athletes and sports participants, sports massage can also assist with issues that arise from day to day living along with office and life stress that all contribute to tight muscles that cause aches and pains in shoulders and backs.

Massage helps iron out those areas of discomfort and in turn allows a wider range of movement and an all over freer feeling. Working deep in the tissue all over the body releases unwanted tension, moves lactic acid from the muscles, helps to break down built up scar tissue and eases joints. Having regular massage you will feel and notice positive improvements in your sport and general day to day living.

For athletes and sports participants and those with an active lifestyle, sports massage is there to prepare you for your best performance, combat fatigue, reduce muscle swelling and relieve all over muscle tension. Ignoring muscle tension can lead to injuries, pain and poor athletic performance.

During physical activities such as weight lifting, muscle tension can build up in soft tissues and due to over-extension or overuse. Undergoing sports massage therapy helps alleviate pain and prevent injuries that affect flexibility, mobility, response time and your overall performance.

+ DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling, sometimes known as intra-muscular stimulation, is a practice similar to acupuncture which involves using a series of hypodermic needles inserted into the muscles. Dry needling is mainly used to treat myofascial trigger points, but it is also used to target connective tissue, neural ailments, and muscular ailments.

Blading, or fascial blading is a form of  instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation. The blade itself acts as an extension of the practitioner’s hands and allows the clinician to gently identify and breakdown scar tissue adhesions and fascial restrictions.
